The few times my pH has gone above neutral, I've lost one. Definitely can handle better than most caridina, but just try to aim for 6.8 or so.

It's actually pretty ez to keep rili shrimp . It's just pretty rare in US . I'm not sure if it's possible to import living shrimp into US . In Taiwan , red rili shrimp is like 100NT for 12 shrimp?

I have Neocaridina parameters and would like to get some orange eyed blue tiger shrimp. Has anyone had any experience keeping them in a higher ph or neo parameters?
  5. wtusa1783
Ok. I would have to get someone that bred them in neo Parameters I guess. Pretty hardy tho?

They are cheaper here. I also wouldn’t get super high quality ones. I read they can be in slightly higher than neutral ph and harder water than moss caridina

Tank trim and maintenance yesterday. Best I can tell, 2-3 batches of babies likely dropped, because they are effing everywhere. 4-5 more females also berried. Some pics for fun.

They're pricey... like very very pricey ? Generally anywhere from $15-25 AUD, not sure how much in the US. Hard to find too. Parameters would be like with other tigers - pH 6.6-6.8, GH 3-5, KH 1-3 if you're keeping them with neos.

That's a really high grade one. I think there are good quality ones in US, I'm not sure though. We don't have nice rili shrimp in Australia.

I would start with the reds as they will be easier to get hold of, reasonably priced and a good test for the tank. Can't you get some from the LFS per the photo you posted, that would be the best to start off with even if it is just a couple as you say, to get started. Also Aquatic arts have them as per your original post? To get you started without spending a lot I would get them from the LFS even if they don't look 100% as good as you want them too and give them a few weeks to see everything is working fine with the setup! Don't forget to drip acclimate them over a few hours wherever you get them from. Simon

The tiger shrimp are quite adaptable and sturdy, unlike other Bee shrimp, so I wouldn't think you would have any problem with keeping them in that PH as long as you acclimate them for longer when you get them! Simon
