Thanks Simon. I'll introduce them like you said a few at a time. Maybe if I add more moss to the big tank that might help with the babies in the future. Thanks again

That’s what I was thinking. If I can make it another week or so, hopefully the rest survive. The baby shrimp are running around in the open much more now, they have grown well. I really only see 5 at a time, but there might be more than 5. I don’t know if 5 out of a hatching is a decent ratio, but, I imagine at best I have 5-7. Still, the same mother is berried again already, so I’m not too worried about it. Did a water change today. As well as changed one sponge on the filter. Trimmed some moss and plants, too. Tanks looking great, and everyone seems to be happy!

Hello everyone. Thought I'd update and ask for advice on this topic. My nursery tank is working very well. I have had 4 pregnant shrimp delivery and there's two more expecting. I've got around 50 babies. I would like to move them to my big tank but I want to know why they were dying in the first place. I think it was probably the fluval filter, perhaps the suction was attaching them to the sponge to where they couldn't get off if it and then they died. I'll try to turn off the fluval and see if it adversely affects the adults first. I also tried to decrease thae water volume but I doubt really see a difference. I also added a second bubble filter. Maybe with the 2 bubble filters only that'll solve the issue.

That's pretty good if you have only lost one after the first week, keep up the good work! Hopefully you have plenty of baby shrimps to watch still? Simon

My daphnia are in a tiny 2L old plastic reptile tank and doing very well at the moment! I can't keep them in the summer indoors though, so hopefully they will survive indoors through the winter? The betta loves chasing them when they go into his tank for food................. Simon

Woke up to my first CRS casualty, from this new batch. Bummer, but it was expected.
