As JayC states the colour may change as they get older but the ones in the photos looked red wine more than crystal red and the white one looks like a ghost so fingers crossed that is what they are. I guess the ghost one may turn a colour but as you say, you can already see the markings so looking favourable that it will stay like that I would think, but they are very young yet. Simon

It's been over 2 weeks since I removed my cherry shrimp from the tank with decomposing substrate. I pulled 92 out of the tank including 6 berried girls. They had to stay in the bucket for a couple of days while I got parameters right in the stand-by tank. I lost a couple in that time but everyone was happy to arrive in the new tank. I've decided to keep the new tank with a bare floor for now because of the issues with the previous one. I've got a few rocks with moss and anubias attached and it's great being able to take TDS readings that aren't climbing rapidly each day. Babies have dropped off 3 of the mums and I have a much higher survival rate now. Another two have berried up since the move so I think they are all happy and healthy. Thanks once again for your invaluable advice JayC! Cheers, Myola

Power back on here, phew! I have to go round and reset all the timers on the tanks now........ The shrimplets are also very fragile at this early stage so keep the fingers crossed! I have always been impressed with ProShrimp service. Glad they did the postage refund so quickly. Simon

You never know. There might be new evidence that Neocaridina can fertilise Caridina. It's not fact yet, so don't quote me on that.

Hi katie! From what i read and if remembered correctly, older mummies do carry lesser eggs. Personally for me, i noticed my yellow neos starting out with alot of eggs in the belly, but im not sure, they birth the babies at different timings?? (Bit by bit) As i have a small tank, it is very easy to observe the birthing after they release the babies, im pretty sure the same berried females did not drop the eggs, they birth them at different batches. This could be why yours only seem to have so few at this moment? Dont worry and just keep parameters stable. Hope all works out well for you. Jo Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
