@neo-2FX hey mate thought I'd give another little update, it has been too long. Tanks are going great! I ditched RO water and just used tap water and have had no deaths because of it over the past 6 months. The colony is thriving. Trust you're well.

Thank you- I had a video but can't get it on unfortunately. I used to have the colours separated in smaller tanks but the breeding slowed down so I decided to take my CRS out of my 210 litre tank and put the TB colonies in that tank together and ever since the breeding has exploded. They have 2 canisters, 2 large sponge filters and a chiller -whatever it is they are now doing very well with about 200 in there and many berried mamas. This tank is just my display tank - like I had when I had the really large CRS colony - they are just for my pleasure not for sale unless I run out of room. It looks so good to see a large number of different colours together -just love sitting watching them

That nasty internet bought Java Moss brought with it;Leeches, Planaria, Hydra, Detritus worms, Cyclops, Dapnia and seed shrimp. Store bought products got rid of everything but the Cyclops and massive seed shrimp infestation. Half a dozen Celestial Pearl Danios polished off the Cyclops and Seed Shrimp. The CPDs were to be moved on to a new home but have started breeding in the tank. I hope you like the pics, I love the photo of the teeth on the female's rostrum

Some good warnings there Drew. No planaria is shrimp safe, just make sure you follow the instructions accurately, if in doubt, use less. A smaller dosage will still work but maybe takes a bit longer. Always follow up with a 2nd treatment a week later. And remember to do water changes a day or two after, to reduce any ammonia spike due to the deaths of the planaria and hydra. The manual traps will need food in it to work. But it might be a bit overkill if you are going to use No Planaria. Hard to tell unfortunately. Those tin head spots are just too small. Unfortunately that thing on her head certainly looks like vorticella. At least that is not fatal. Treatment options can be found in the Shrimp Health and Care subforum. Are these leeches as you call them, free swimming around, in an "S" shape? Or are they crawling on the glass? Nematodes swim around in the water current in an S shape. While Planaria tend to be crawling on the glass. Just so we are clear with what you are dealing with. Just a word of advice, squishing Planaria (not nematodes) is a bad idea. A decapitated Planaria will regenerate into two separate Planaria within 14 days. So instead of dealing with one, you have multiple planaria to deal with. Syphoning them out at water change is probably better than squishing them, as tempting as it might be.

I had recently bought an Up Aqua Pro Z Led light which will now be used to it's potential. (Though considering the new Kessil now!!) I had the eheim 2213 that had been running on the tank previously hooked up to another tank to keep it running. I connected it all back up. I have some lily pipes on order, due later this week. To try and make it look the part. So after three days this is how it has come up.... Top View I know it's just stems and not a scape, but I am really pleased with it! Once it has been running for a month and I get a good handle on its water parameters, I might decide to add some shrimp. Depending on algae growth, the ottos may have to move in first!!! Though I am only running the CO2 unit for four hours a day. Probably not ideal but has to be better than nothing I think!! What do you think, not bad for a newbie???
