Hey I never see people in the chatroom anymore. At one point there late last year there was often a handful of folks in there most nights discussing all things shrimp and aquarium related plus lots of other shenanigans too of course being the crazy hobbyists that we are. It would be great to revive it!! love n peace will

I dig into my substrate all the time to replant plants. It's been okay for me. The shrimp seem to like grazing on the freshly upturned substrate too.

@jayc - are you using Amazonia? I echo this. I think I mucked around a bit too much in my Amazonia and deaths followed. Just be gentle.

Watch it with ADA.... Try to be gentle as possible. Even siphon out some of the ensuing dust cloud as you do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@Geoff sorry to hear the news about those two little fellas. They were very heavy infected. I've never seen ones with such a huge growth of ellobiopsids. The shrimp hobby is still small and in it's infancy really. There are still parasites and diseases that we don't have cures for shrimps, unlike the fish hobby, so we all help were possible, I know I try to whenever possible. But I think we were a bit too late with these two. I know you are in Stroudsburg - so did you import these shrimp ? and where from? Or did you buy them off someone local? I'm assuming they are newly acquired. Only please don't tell me that you have had these shrimp for many months ... because that means there is something wrong with your water quality. ?

The hospital tank sounds good Geoff. The extra water agitation will be good since Formalin reduces oxygen content in water. Time to get some close up photos of the shrimp while they are in the container. ?
