Hi, thankyou so much for the welcome!!! Just a bit about my tanks... I have 5 tanks for shrimp... one with red cherries (saddled, berried and babies now YAY), one with Sunkist cherries (saddled none berried or babies yet), one with CRS (idk if they saddled or not but assume not so far), one with a mix at the moment of all different types... I might need help sorting out the colours pretty please... they are still acclimatising so no photos yet. The 5th tank is just finished cycling and has some ramshorn snails and endler boys holding the cycle for me till I decide on a shrimpeee type to keep in there. I am completely new to all the shrimpee stuff, so would appreciate lots of help. I have kept bettas and still have one (Sir Bodsworth Rugglesbie- that's what happens when you get your hubby to name your bettas for you ROFL). I also have lots of goldfish who I LOVE... I have one demikin, 4 pearlscales, 2 Subunkins, 2 Telescope butterflys, 3 Orandas, 2 Chocolate lionheads and one little calico nymph who is mean to other goldies and therefore is banished to a pond of his own. Don't fret... they are not all in the same tank LOL. The Pearlscales and the Demikin are in the main tank inside, and the butterfly tails are there til they have their own pond. The Orandas, Lionheads, Shubunkins and Nymph all have ponds of their own per type... no over crowding here :-) I also have two ratties who are adorable boys Bill and Ben and a beautiful Chocolate pointed Burmese puddy whose name is Finley (also gets called Fud, Fuddler, Fuddles, Finney, Finney McGee, The Brown, Brown Thing... and many other names). I am bedridden most of the time with chronic back pain so hubby helps me look after all my charges, and I love watching them all grow and flourish. 5 of the tanks are near my bed so I can see them all the time and two are in the kitchen so I can see them while I cook. I also have OCD so I try really hard to get everything just PERFECT for all of my critters... I cant think of anything else to add about me... :-)

Ooooh I am so excited about this! I received my snail package yesterday: Spiny Marsh Snails ( Thiara Amarula), Giant Cone Snails (unsure what these are ), Assorted Nerites ( not being an expert, I am unsure of exact types, but I have some with striated tan/black pattern, spots, zigzag, olive and black), and Singapore Spiraling snails that have black shells ( these are actually from China, but don't mass produce). I asked one of the online stores that I buy from whether they could get some for me and it turns out one could. They are not exactly cheap, but one has to keep in mind that they are responsibly sourced, they don't mass produce, are stunning to look at, are quite large, and whomever the person is that has to dig them out in murky crocodile infested water, with mosquitoes and 40 degrees Celsius plus weather with leeches definitely deserves to get paid by those of us with a higher sense of self-preservation in my opinion!) I am not a photographer, and had to rush to get a few pics. None of the snails are in too acidic water, seem to like algae wafers, and love digging in the substrate. The shrimp follow the snails as they borrow through the soil and forage on the upturned biofilm. If anyone would like to know where to buy them, you are welcome to pm me as I am not sure whether I am allowed to post the suppliers details on here.

Hey Ree, welcome to SKF. Are you located at Stuart's Point, NSW on the mid north coast? I grew up near there - Warrell Creek.
