Thought id start a thread to post pics of my crab, crably! He was caught it fresh/ brackish creek. From what ive observed these crabs are fully aquatic, i do have some drift wood poking out of the water so he can get out if he wants to just incase. From a guess id say he is a varuna litterata as they are basicly the only freash water crab commonly found in brisbane and go to estuaries to breed then acording to my wild life of greater brisbane book.

Some news for all you SKFers out there. Shortly you might start seeing stuff pop up about the new Mentor/Buddy program which is in the works for release. Basically what this is, is a program which allows premium members to sponsor someone they know in the shrimping hobby who is interested in becoming apart of our community here whilst being deemed a potential contributor and valued member. Premium members will be allowed to sponsor only 1 buddy which will run for a period of 3 months. During this time their buddy receives a premium membership for that period to encourage them to become involved here with us at SKF. Onus is on the premium member to be sure that the person they wish to sponsor is someone with whom they think will be an asset, great fit and most of all an active member. Thought must be given by the mentor in regards to their decision and they should be able to show that the person is not a random they have had little dealings with and will not be one to simply seek a mentor for the benefits of premium membership without being active. If this case was to occur then a review of their buddy status may take place. Obviously this program aims to help continue to grow the awesome community here as we proceed into the new year and the future. By all means if you have some feedback we would like to hear it.

If you start a thread in the right section you are more likely to get better responses as not everyone drops by this particular section after a while.

Blue velvet's are suppose to be that colour. If you want the navy blue cherries they are called Blue Dreams. Well in Australia anyway not sure what they call them in Malaysia.

Hi fellow shrimplovers, I just got a batch of king kong (totally stoked) but am also wanting to get blue bolts. I would like to know thoughts of both species sharing the same tank as I do know there is a good chance they will breed. The issue is that i'm going to be purchasing high grade of both. So i'm think mixing will lower the grades =>please correct me if i'm wrong. Look forward to your replies! Kind regards, Wilzee83.

Yai!!! I went deeper in the south this saturday. I seek in an area called "Plaine des lacs" (lakes field) and found these: Chocolate with golden/cream "racing stripe" A kind of "Chameleon" shrimp? Not easy to see, but this one is a solid dark blue Not the "Zebra" I'm searching, but very happy of these "finds". I'm expecting to find the zebra spot, and may be something else? Worth walking under the sun, fighting with some mosquitoes and also some wasps! :)
