Just wanted to update the journal since its been awhile. I will start with section one. So my little gamble paid off and i managed to get 5 females berried from the male I purchased above. Looking forward to seeing the results. The red cherries i keep in this section have not gone to plan. Instead of improving the red cherries i put in there it seems they are getting worse lol fml. Will cull the baddies and continue the journey. Might cull the colony and start with some better stock. Hint hint @Gbang. Fingers crossed I will have a population explosion in the next few weeks. Still a long way to go until i can match @ineke or @newbreed but i can dream.

Update for section 2. The chocolates are going well. They are breeding and looking good. The shrimplets are mixed grade so need to continue to cull. My blue bolts are doing well. Last update i had 2 females and one male. A couple of weeks ago one female gave birth to 8 shrimplets and all 8 were bb's. The female is now reberried then other is due very soon. I cant wait for this colony to take off. Fingers crossed they are breeding true.

i dont really cull though unless they absolutely suck, i am breeding for colour depth as opposed to grades

I bought this recently and it is freaking awesome!!! I could easily scraped both thin and thick layers of algae off the glass. Comes in either 46cm or 65cm. I bought the 65cm one which works great for my 4x2x2. Full stainless steel and very well built. I even received 3 razor blades in the box with it. Not sure if ebay link is allowed so if this is removed by any mod, please feel free to shoot me a PM. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/46cm-65cm-Aquarium-Glass-S-Steel-Algae-Scraper-Blade-Cleaner-Razor-Coralline-P8-/281731924605?var=&hash=item419888027d Oops... just realised you're a mod. Haha. So yea, please remove the ebay link if not allowed and shoot me a PM. Haha. Sorry.

Thanks ‌@newbreed. I am sure you have good ones hidden in your rack somewhere. If not I have no doubt you'll end up with some better then mine. Thanks ‌@ineke I take it as a great compliment from you about my rili's. I remember your great rili's and my aim is to get this colony to come close to those. Thank you very much. Still a lot of work to do.

Every night when I start shrimp staring at this tank I cross all my fingers and toes. I pray to the shrimp gods to make it happen! Thanks Larry.

Two more crack addicts to add to the list - Chameleons and Typus. They were straight into the snow too.

Is the stuff easy to make? @newbreed when you say you notice effects not running it for a while what effects would those be ?

And another one, these are such interesting shrimp. My tank is very densely planted and has plenty of spots to hide but there is always a few of these guys active in plain view.

A massive thanks to fishmosy for the amazing Riffles and Native Fern that I won at auction. I have never had riffles previously and am stunned by how big they are and also the variation in colour (there is a blue one) Many thanks Ben, I am sure you sent me far more than what was advertised!! Greatly appreciate it! They have only gone into tank today, so pics once they settle in! ?

These are some that i percieve as high grades from my line that are the traditional head and tail These however are my personal favorites even though they are technically culls :)
