As promised I have a couple of photos of my shrimp to post :) I have had the Yellow Cherry Shrimp for about a week or so now, and have two berried females which is awesome. I picked up the snow white / golden bees on Wednesday, so they have not quite settled in yet but are still showing solid colour which I am happy about :) There is a few that are mostly white, but there is also a few that have a good bit of gold in them so they are a mixed bunch. But the colour is solid and most have white legs, and a couple have a hint of blue on their faces so I have solid hopes for breeding these guys more and more to get some nice white shrimp in the future :) My YCS range from juvies to adults and I have a total of 12. The golden bees/snow whites are all juvies at approx 10mm in length and I have a total of 16. So can't wait for these guys to grow up :) Here are a couple of photos (No full YCS shot just yet :( ): Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed the shots :)

every now and then I find a shrimp climbing airlines or heater cables and have lost the odd one from climbing out. I found that the little plastic tabs from the end of a plastic bag of bread fits nicely over the tubing and acts as a barrier to the shrimp stopping their little escapade! The tags are also handy to number and put onto electric cables so you know which tank they come from when you have multiple heaters and lights. Saves me ages with having to follow cables back to tanks before switching them on and off. As I have 12 tanks that equates to 12 of everything so it saves quite a bit of time to have the cables numbered

John we need to have a full shot of her. It looks like she is OK but I can't make out if her middle is clear or if she has some stripes. Head and tail should be nice and red. Here is a picture of one of my old girls who was very good. This is what to aim for. I don't think your girl is too far off it but as I say we need a better picture

Ineke If you get up this way I am sure there will be some one to fill the seat in my car and we go from there, there is loads of wildlife to see LOADS, Cooktown and Black mountain would be the go, but any where you want to see there is good stuff any where. Bragging I know but very true. Ineke work on Alan to do the trip in your winter, you will enjoy the change (in normal years), I will be looking for Riffles the next Cooktown trip to go into the Science bank. CU soon Bob

I have a lot of rcs with this feature I think it is more common on the older females or at least it's more visible in any case. when i looked this up before I found out that it is actually a racing stripe and these ones go faster. vroooom

Thanks for sharing. By the way, not directly related to topic.but I'd like to point out that pale coloration, if comes with loss of appetite, and inactivity, is sign of trouble.
