The commando shrimp have been going fine for the last couple of week. So i am calling it and deckaring that the tank is now fully cycled. A couple of days ago I did a 50% water change and now i am in the process of acclimatizing my tibees. The are mostly tibees males culled from jpn program but i did purchase a couple of tibee females and cbs female for them. I am also putting in a few cbs juvies that came from my crs. Tibees chilling in the breeder box while i tried to catch them all. One of a few juvie tibees that have been born in my tank. They are currently being acclimatized before being introduced into their new home. Next installment will be the Crs. Stay tuned! The 3rd installment will even better!!!

I have also caught, acclimatized and released my crs. They will share the partion with red cherries from my red rili's. I am hoping to work on the red cherries so they become fire red quality one day. Crs waiting patiently with the red while i chase the others in the tank. Lastly the shrimp exploring their new home. Suprisingly i have almost 20 crs cant wait for the colony to grow. Next installment tomorrow. Happy mothers day.

Thanks Buck. I have a couple of red tibees so if a few more appear i would like to work on some fancy red like Ineke has. The tibees are in and looking happy.

So, I've since found an issue with using the tapatalk server to host images. They open it for all to see via google indexing. This means that if you post to a private forum but choose to use them to host the image, the restrictions here on SKF don't apply as the image is external. Something to be aware off. I'm also considering the future of tapatalk here on SKF as since they've changed ownership the focus on developing a quality product has gone down the drain. Some of the recent changes they've done are really terrible and causing many users and forum admins grief. Not to mention development for a version that supports the new forum software has not occurred.

Yes Ben That is what I am looking for, I am trying to confirm if it is a variety or just a description? What do you think? If it's a variety I am keen to get some if you have some spare Cheers Andy

Food for shrimp generally comes in small packages so if you have a few tanks there is little chance of it going off before you use it all. However if you only have one or two tanks or live along the coast (high humidity), one of the threats to the quality of your shrimp food is moisture. Moisture added to the food encourages the decomposition of the food and the growth of bacteria and fungi, which could potentially make your shrimp sick. One way to help keep your shrimp food in top condition is to use a silicon gel satchet that absorbs the moisture from the air in your container. Satchets are available online, but are also readily available as preservers in some human food items. Moreover the satchets can be recharged by drying them in an oven. If you are silly like me, and are constantly forgetting to dry your hands before dipping your fingers in the shrimp food, this may be a great way to protect the integrity and nutrition of your shrimp food.
