Thanks for the warm welcome! Trying to learn the ways of the Cherry shrimp before moving on to more exotic varieties! ;)

Do you mean the DIY solution was used up after 2-3 days or did something else happen?

It's been a while since I posted on this forum, but i'm in need of some help. A couple months back I was complaining about the fact that my RCS were not breeding at all, and I wanted to change that. Fast forward to today, I now want the opposite. I wouldn't say that my tank is overflowing with babies, but there definitely is a lot. I was wondering if there was any way to maintain the amount of babies that are being born into my tank. I wouldn't mind investing in a fish that would eat the really tiny babies, and allow the bigger ones to live. So some suggestions would be nice! :)

It won't make much difference. If it's the sound of the water you are worried about, I had the same issue. I just got a big piece of course sponge & cut it to slightly wider than the tank & wedged it in the sump so the sponge was just above the waterline. This way the water falls on to the sponge & it stops the sound. Hope this helps.

Alright turns out it was just me changing the water on them too often and also the time of day I was seeing them. I only get to see them late at night so probably explains the loss in colour but during they day they look very vibrant! Happy little shrimp atm. Got my macro lens too, here's some of the latest photos.
