^ One of the babies from the first release now an adult and a momma herself. I'm very proud of her and just amazed at how she has grown. I did a quick count of how many BlackBees were inside the 25Cube and I came to a count of 90ish. Pretty amazing if you consider that I only started off with 5 and of the 5, only 4 survived and bred. I also had photos of the J.RedBees and RedBees but I seemed to have misplaced my SD card containing photos from Sunday's photo session. Yikes! I hope I simply misplaced the SD card and not inadvertently dropped it or lost it somehow... If I manage to find it i'll upload more photos from Sunday. Thank you.

That's a beautiful tank , very nice. I love the Chameleons -I don't have any natives yet- keep meaning to but never see them in the shops- will have to order some one day I suppose. I think a lot of us start out doing all the wrong things. I was given my first few RCS and didn't even know they had existed. They went straight into the fish tank with a huge TDS as well. But they bred and multiplied and seemed happy- after I gave away my fish. I even had my first Mischlings in tapwater and inert gravel and they were constantly berried. I then finally read up properly about keeping them and now have the right substrates,RO, water conditioners etc etc and can really see the difference between them surviving and thriving.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience Ineke, unfortunately it does'nt matter where you come from there is always one to spoil it for everyone else. Fortunately SKF has some really great people to make up for these A----les.

Yes, they will cross breed. You would more than likely get shrimp that are poor blue or poor yellow, or poor reds. And definitely a few with no colour (wild type). The trick is figuring out which colour trait is dominant and which is recessive. The red x yellow might throw out some orange. Not too sure with red x blue, I think both are recessive, which means non colour. I think same with yellow x blue. You might get lucky and get something really cool, genetics can throw surprises like that. But that would be like winning the lottery. It would take a few generations of line breeding the offspring before you make progress. I use words like "think", "might" because its not a certainty.

Hi Ludo I am new to shrimp keeping also, but from what I have been told they if you keep cherries of any colours they will interbreed Results will be mixed but inherently they will revert back to they wild colours which is clear I could be wrong though Good luck

Is it safe to assume you are using Salty Shrimp GH+ when you say you're using GH+? Most of the time, the minerals derived from the substrate and not use much the mineralizer itself. Most Mineralizer on the market only contains Calcium and Magnesium salts that together increase the general hardness of the RODI water. As such, the mineralizer itself has little to do with providing the complete needs of shrimps. More often than not, breeders will rely on their substrate to provide the trace nutrients for their shrimps but the only problem with this is the substrate is deplete of trace minerals very rapidly (usually within the first 5 months of the substrate's life). Most breeders will need to add supplemental trace nutrients to keep their shrimps happy and healthy. I'm using an entire lineup of Shrimpy Daddy Products. He is a sponsor here incase you were interested to checkout or ask him any questions.

Took a few more photos this weekend when I was over at the other house. I spent the weekend setting up the last 3x 10g and finishing up the breeding rack. Now I have 6x 10g with 2x 25g cubes at the top. The dual cubes will serve as massive breeding factories while the 6x 10g will serve as culling tanks. I'm thinking of adding another 2x 10g at the top at a later day and that'll serve as tanks to keep Crystal Whites and maybe Pinto mixing.
