    I've been working towards this for a while now & some interesting results have come from it. Introducing the Skunk Head Pinto! I only have about 5 of these at the moment but I will be separating them to line breed & hopefull in a few (dozen) generations I will have them breeding true.

    It is normal for NO2 and NO3 increase at the same time. Based on my testing recently, the process of NO2 convert to NO3 starts right at the beginning of the cycling stage as opposed to what people thought it happens at the ending stage (provided you are using good bacteria starter culture). For the NO3, as long as it is not more than 20ppm, it is fine. If you want to grow plant, you will need to keep them above 5ppm. Before you keep shrimp, make sure the NO3 between 5 to 10ppm.

    It's hard sometimes but definitely the best thing to do. Our gene pool is not Large in Australia so culling deformities is a must really.

Marimo Balls/Moss "Marimo ball & Marimo Moss" are illegal imports and a protected species in Japan, as such anyone buying, selling, trading, showing photos of this species will have there threads removed & deleted. If you have this Species in your possession you are advised to Contact AQIS for the safe removal and quarantine of it. Failing to do so may end up in loss of tank inhabitants and legal action being taken by AQIS. This topic is not open for discussion on SKF. Reporting a Post The moderators are real people living real lives and as such are not on the forums 24 x 7. This means that we may miss some posts/threads that are not in the spirit of the SKF rules.
