See if you can get your hands on Aquarium plants, their identification, cultivation and ecology by Dr Karel Rataj and Thomas horeman, published by TFH publications, Inc. Ltd. It was available in Australia from Pet Imports Pty Ltd PO box149 Brookvale 2100 NSW. I bought mine about 30 yrs ago. Another good plant book is a Fishkeepers guide to Aquarium Plants by Barry James, Published by Salamander Books Ltd. Here is another, Water Plants in the Aquarium by Ines Scheurmann Published by Barron Books. Another good one if you can still get it is Oriental Aquarium printed in Singapore ( Oriental Aquarium (S) Pte Ltd. 652 Lim Chu Kang Road Singspore 2471. Fax 6690406.) My book was published in 1991, unsure if any of these contacts are still viable, but would be worth a try if you are keen. Hope this may be of help.
