As most of you know I have been away for 7 weeks and had to leave my shrimp to weekly visits from my daughter-inlaw. Came home to find some really good surprises and some also not so good poor quality surprises in my Rili tank. I think some culls from another tank may have been accidently transferred either by net or moss but I don't like what I'm seeing so I will get my older pure girls and a few nice boys and start from scratch -don't want to mix them up but it's a pity because I was just getting some nice colour and pattern happening. My Crystal tank is alive with babies every where which is a great thing to come home to. My favourite BlueBolt TBM is finally berried and she herself is showing great colour- I'm very impressed-I don't know who she is berried to but thats OK I'm happy with my mongrels. The Tibee population has exploded but I need to get a bit of colour into them as most are Tibee to Tibee so will sort out some TB mates if I have enough otherwise TBM will have to do. My Blue Velvets have some nice colour coming up and my Blacks have also done well with lots of deep black youngsters in there. I'm a bit dissapointed with my Yellows -they have gone very pale so will do some water testing tomorrow and do some slow water changes for them as they have all only had pure RO top ups for the last 7 weeks. The only tank to still not have started breeding is my CBS tank. I know there are males and females but it seems to be a case of the CRS again -no breeding for months and months and months! I have only gone around and tested the TDS of all the tanks and they are as low as 150 and as high as 190. I will give them all a good water change but will make the TDS of the new water match their current water and then gradually bring it down or raise it up depending on which species they are. Typical that the ones I want lower are the ones that are higher and vice versa but never mind it means I can have a little play with my tanks- I hear you Squiggs- not too much just a bit of fresh water !!!!! It's also time to do some major culling and reassessing to see which direction the various species should go.

Welcome home :-) ....I'm sure al your shrimso are celebrating your return. I've found the same with the red Rillis. Gotta keep culling them on each generation.....I've been selective breeding them for F12+, and still getting 30-40% culls....
