This is where I found the new shrimp, they will be called Caridina sp. "Brisbane 2" in my tanks until I have had them formally identified. The habitat is completely different to the 1's, it's a series of pools with no water flow that would connect up when it rains, they're stagnant and you can't see more than a few cm into the water, it's very deep in some areas but I found all the shrimp in shallow areas where I could reach the leaf litter. I didn't get any water from here, I brought them home in saturated leaf litter, I am glad I had the net, that's all I had on me!
