Hi Shrimpers

Wanting to buy a new LED light for my 2' tank, along with different mosses I plan to plant it with some higher demand plants in the reds and orange colour range

The two lights I like I believe are only available in the USA

The first is the Current USA Satellite Plus Freshwater 24"-36"  http://current-usa.com/aquarium-led-lights/satellite-led-fixtures/satellite-freshwater-led-plus/

The second is the Ecoxotic E-60 Full spectrum LED 24"-36"    http://www.ecoxotic.com/e-series-led.html

Has anyone have any experiences with either of these? Good or bad?

Thanks

I haven't had any experience with those two but I would suggest either looking at the Up Aqua Pro Z Series(there is a red version) alternatively, you could give the guys at Age of Aquariums a call as they have some very cool LED lights. I like the Tunze one, you can change the colour of it with a magnet & it even has a sunrise/sunset when you turn it on/off, very cool. :thumbsu:

I like the Ecoxotic one. Only because it uses 8000K coloour spectrum.

If you are going to use it on a 3 footer, then get the 36" E-90 Full Spectrum LED now.

Getting the E-60 will mean you have dead spots where the lights won't reach.

As mentioned in a different thread, http://www.makemyled.com.au/is in SA and do custom LEDs for a good price.

Here is one recent one (he got two for his tank).
