Hello to all, i am new to shrimp keeping and already find it addictive. Having kept Aust & PNG rainbows for 30+ years and then giving it all away for a few years, after it became almost a full time job looking after a considerable number of tanks. Now since having been retired for going on 6yrs decided to set up a 5ft planted just to keep me occupied, well, then i discovered shrimp and as they say the rest is history. Presently, i am keeping RCS, YCS, and CRS A/S grade, first lot i managed to lose due to high temp & no chiller, expensive lesson learned. Enough of my ramblings, looking forward to reading other posts and learning more about these challenging little treasures. Kind regards to all Gary

Welcome to the dark side (shrimp keeping LOL), shrimp are highly addictive and even our natives have some real stunners. I am keeping a few native shrimp species in with spotted blue eyes and the combination seems to be working well.

And I too know the expensive lesson of high temps, no chiller and losing expensive crystal shrimp.

Many thanks to all for the welcome, I will try and get some new pics soon and post for all to see. I think we all enjoy seeing pics of other shrimpers tanks as it helps us to expand our ideas on scapeing and of course to see other shrimps.
