BENIBACHI ZEROα

Hi All,

Has anyone used benibachi ZEROa? If i'm using RO water, is it worth buying?

"Benibachi Zero absorbs harmful ammonia, nitrous acid, heavy metals and magnesium from tap water, making it safe for shrimp. It purifies water and controls the build up of pathogenic bacteria and algae growth. It also contains important natural minerals that release gradually into the aquarium."

Cheers.

I am guessing not as your are using RO water BUT you can for insurance purposes and just in case. Plus it looks cool in the tank :)

Hahaha, sorry dude :cower:

I'm guessing you won't with RO but, as JP said, I think it will be a good insurance against any ammonia spikes :victorious:

Hey Squiggle and Kitz do you think it might be a good thing in my 30" that still has some ammonia in it? Or shouldi just let it finish by itself week 6 today no deaths with the kamikazi

IMO I think it would remove any remaining ammonia but I'm apprehensive because it might remove more than needed to sustain your bacterial culture in the filter as there isn't much of a bioload in your tank yet. There is also the added benefit of the gradual release of beneficial minerals into the tank...........Hmmmm, I think I just confused myself, hahaha :victorious:

I'm using it

It's like a piece of brick slate, I cut mine in half and put half in the canister filter and other in the tank

Can't really say how good it is as I have other mineral balls in my tank but I do have heaps of juvies lol!

its not intended for use with ro water, its just like the mineral balls which absorbs ammonia etc and release good minerals
