Honestly...Would I lie?

Boys and girls who haven't tried Kale, then I recommend you give it a go(It's a large leafy green). Someone told me about it a while back and I thought 'greens are greens, what's the diff'. Today, I stumbled across it picking up some veges for the roast lamb the Mrs cooked tonight.mmmmmmmm.

Anyway, it was only $2 for a huge bunch from the grocer. Woolies/Coles don't stock it. I par bolied it for a sec and tossed some in and I 'pinky swear' they bit me trying to get to it. I leave baby spinach/pumpkin/zucchini in there for days until they touch it.

Well, I'm off to hospital to get a quarter of a stitch in my bite mark

+1. I have been using kale for a while and its a defenite hit to the shrimps and fish. I have seen, my cherries eating them really quickly, a pearl gourami, SAE, Loaches, snails, CRS etc. Everyone loves it :)

Also, i grow my own so no pesticides guaranteed :victorious:

LOL, Jamie is a funny bugger! I'll need to grow my own kale too. Anyone know where to buy good organic vegies in Melbourne?

Loachy, you're just prolonging your defeat by already posting TWICE in my thread(I'm tellin' Deany). Yes, that's what I call him when no-one else is around.

I've got a tonne of various Kale seeds if anyone wants a few(freeeee). That new member Loach is right though about the season ending (thanks google), unless you build a special Kale Room like I heard 'da Boss;)' has underway...

I've already got the potting mix(special vege growing stuff) and a large styrofoam box (like what fish come in from the airport or bulk live rock etc). I'm going to try it with my 'other veges' that have a hydro set up inside...

I'm sure that the 'special vegies' will give your shrimps growth spurts...

I don't know about that, but they've always got 'the munchies' for some reason.

Damn I love this place. I would've been banned twice already if this was you know where.

Glad you're in love JJ. Certainly doesn't take much to turn you on, or are you smokin' vegies again? :P

hmmmm true, I am easily..pleased. If you're on good terms with 'Boss man', ask him (if he remembers) what I said when he first sent me pic's of his KK's. It was a dark and lonely time in my life (with emphasis on lonely). I care not to mention it publicly for fear of being ostracized. .... Ah heck, a few more Stoli's and I may blurt it out.

Dont get seeds, get the seedlongs from bunnings. Seeds take way too long lol. You can plant them in autmn to early winter.

Hmmm... not sure if I'd want to plant some 'kale' seeds from JJ in my garden, bunnings may be the safer option :friendly_wink:.... I've got nosey neighbours :anonymous:
