Beautiful mate. Are they all handheld shots? My tetras won't sit still long enough for me to get a clear shot.

The glass isn't clean.

With macro, the DOF is very thin. So the trick is to not photography anything that is right next to the glass, otherwise the blemishes will show. If the subject is a bit away from the glass, then the thin DOF will make the blemishes on the glass disappear! Magic :)

Of course there will be the occasion bit of debris floating in the water, that you may want to spot edit in pp.

Here are new ones from my new tank..

Your photos are stunning! I'd give an arm and a leg (well, a finger at least!) to be able to take photos like that :D

May I ask what sort of camera and lens you use?

fantastic work watfish, what's the exposure setup you use for your macro's? s/s,ap,flash speed etc?

Check out the EXIF info, via EXIF app on chrome. From what I can see, Watfish does all manual controls with off cam-flash. Fast speed around 1/140-200 sec, f/11-16, and ISO 400-1600 depending on lights.
