So my high quality $10 TDS pen stopped working on me tonight. (You get what you pay for obviously!!)

Can anyone recommend a half way decent TDS or EC pen and link me to it?

Thanks :D

I've got the Hanna TDS tester and their purewater tester. PW tester tests hardness up to 100ppm. Their TDS is pretty accurate, especially compared to competitors however I think it's margin of error is +-50 or +-80, I can't remember which. Therefore if you're after really soft water, say 100ppm, it could show 100ppm but actually be anywhere from 20 to 180 ppm (or 50 to 150ppm depending on what the amrgin of error actually is). Therefore it's better at higher ratings.

That being said, it's probably far more accurate still than cheaper brands. And at least they told me about their margin of error - don't know if other brands are willing to disclsoe theirs.

I bought the hanna HI 98303 with a lt of the calibration water from some American site ill try and remember which one..

they work a treat.. I think with the Hanna EC pen it's only +-20 which is awesome so as long as I make sure EC is 200 give or take 20 all is good.. Dean have me this info and I ain't arguining with a system that doesn't need fixing haha..
