where to buy ?

ok so i got my tank set up and planted now and i need to get some shrimp, i will wait a week or two until my plants get established and the tank is working properly but where would i get some shrimp and what types are there for fairly cheap and relative easy to keep as they will be my first go at it? i was thinking id like some CBS or maybe some of the native zebra shrimp, i like the clean banded ones not the half white or fancy type (im not sure on actual grades) so im wondering what the prices are and how many are a good start in a 40cm cube tank?

Hey farma, if your interested in RCS let me know as I'm in Coffs. Otherwise Brisbane, sydney or possibly newcastle is your best bet.

Judging by what I've seen of his setup and shrimp, I'd go with trying to get some from Dean.

If you get your shrimp posted/freighted, I'd highly reccommend using AAE as my last two batches of shrimp through regular/express post arrived dead. In both cases the packages were damaged even though they were well packed and padded, from speaking to a friend of mine he thinks its to do with the sorting machines they use here.
