Female Crs dying b4 giving birth ?

I have been noticing female shrimp dying just. B4 giving birth or just after grime time to time , just wondering if any one has had this problem b4 ... And if there is anything that can be done about it ?

tell us a bit about the tank setup and water parameters etc?

i have only ever had that problem when there was a mineral deficiency in the water.

but could be a few things..

is there plenty of hiding places for the berried females?

they dont like being harassed by males/other shrimp when they are close to dropping and can stress easily and die..

Hi Dean... Cool I might of just found what my issue was late last year...lol... As when I changed them into a different tank the mystery deaths stopped....

+1 on the mineral deficiency. If the deaths are only recently occuring and all else is status quo, then as Dean mentioned, post your setup, WP, and even your WC & mineral regime (i.e. salty shrimp..), and I'm sure we can figure this out....

I'm in the middle of moving house , shrimp tanks have not been moved yet , as for other water test ill have to get the water tested on the weekend

Bb, I do weekly water changes about. 15 % I use dechlorinator in a bucket over night b4 using in tank so water temp in bucket can reach room temp, as I have no heater on my tanks , my tanks just sit on room temp, on hot days I leave my air con running in my room just in Case, I don't really add any other minerals to my water
