What will happen if I mix red cherry shrimp and red rili shrimp?

Will I get wild types or since they are just a variation of the cherry shrimp they will breed either cherry or rili? Does anyone have experience with doing this?

Yes, you will get some percentage of wild looking offspring.

O ok. I thought since they were both rcs they wouldn’t produce wilds but I guess not

They will produce wild colors, but also some might be low grade RCS or Rilli.

My oldest tank has only ever had red cherry shrimp in it and I have been very lazy about culling from the start. It probably is about 5 years old now and the majority of the shrimp are clear/brown wild types so even keeping one type/colour shrimp (neocaridina) will produce wilds over time so keeping on top of culling is recommended, don't assume 1 colour will just be easy/safe to keep the colour good though!
