Alder cone small review

Hello want to share these alder cone review

1. 4 bottles, filled with 100ml water

from left to right:

bottle 1 = 0 aldercones tds 008

bottle 2 = 1 small alder cone tds 009

bottle 3 = 2 small alder cones tds 009

bottle 4 = 2 big alder cones tds 019

 

looks like the tanin only from big cone and more tanin = tds increase

 

2. Using Sera PH water test kit with API vial (for better view)

green mean 6.5, the other 3 looks like 5.5, but there is variance in the intensity of color

from top

 

3. using ph pen to show the difference of ph

I never trust ph pen, LOL, but the ph pen could show there is difference in ph

 

3.a left = no alder cone, right = 1 small alder cone

 

3.b left = 2 small alder cones, right = 2 big alder cones

dunno why the small and big one only create 0.1 PH difference

to see how much wc effects to aldercone

Yep, I have access to both sizes but they are seasonal, I've run out for this year & the next lot won't be available till April/May.
