Here they are just after going into the tank. Can already see some interesting patterning amongst them.

Around 25. They are much smaller than cherries, crystals, ect. Definitely different, but I really like them.

They settled in really quickly too. Coloured up and started eating pretty much straight away.

caridina babaulti look very similar to these in body structure, and the best part is they are native species for me.

Very nice Ben and looks like a population explosion well under way with berried girls who also have saddles. YA GONNA NEED MORE TANKS : SHOUT :

Luckily the chameleons dont get very big at all. I'm planning on culling pretty heavily in order to see if I can increase the intensity of their colour.

I've added a couple more snails to the tank and a typus (aka caridina typus) so I can get pics to show the major differences between the two.

So here is a shot of my Typus in the same tank. You can see a chameleon in the foreground. Clearly the typus get much bigger.

Excellent. Worth all the effort for just that reason.

I guess its an excuse to get a new tank. I'll tell the wife I need one so they don't "interbreed" lol

Any excuse is a good excuse for a new shrimp tank.

Actually My brother has been cycling a 60ltr tank and he will be getting some natives. His wife wants some yellows to go in there too. Spreading the shrimp love through the family.
