I had to look a couple of times to spot it too! Are they free swimming Kev? How do they move around?

They move in a worm like motion not planaria motions

That looks like blood worm though. 

If that's a blood worm, it's totally harmless to shrimps even though it means there will be thousands of them if you spotted one.

Ragworm or Polychaete.

 

A type of bristleworm.

Not known to be harmful to shrimp. Most eat vegetation and decaying detritus in the substrate. But some can be carnivorous. Which type you have is anyone's guess.

Their burrowing will help aerate the substrate, but personally, I'd get rid of something that ugly if it was in my tank.
