couple months ago i bought from ebay yellow shrimps that were advertised as yellow king kong, it was claimed as caridina species. I have them breed in caridina parameter, but i could not find many reference to it, the origin etc. I haven't try to cross breed it, but I had some cherry shrimp in that tank and they didn't cross breed.erl12yt.jpgvnXOkwH.jpg

They are Caridina hybrids. As to what exactly it's unclear... but it's believed that Tangerine Tigers played a role in their creation.

They have shown up in mixed Caridina tanks and since it is a mix, no one can pinpoint exactly what created them. The creator took the "recipe" to the grave, or so I've heard...

If they do breed with cherry shrimp, it would be pretty rare. I've also mixed them with bloody mary, although the first group of YKK's didn't last very long, unfortunately... that was last year... only had them for a few months. Got a second group, have had them nearly month and a half. Not quite old enough to breed yet.
