For once they sat still

After noticing the odd hydra had appeared in a tank that is only supposed to be temporary until the blue cherry shrimp in it knuckle down to breeding and producing babies and worrying the next invader would be dragonfly nymphs (again). I decided to move a couple of male endlers into the tank. They where little horrors to catch out of the 4ft tank with long val and floor covered in crypts, but once in the much smaller tank with the shrimp I was able to get them almost sitting still. Sadly I still have not perfected the ability to capture their true fluro greens and mad oranges, but for some spare of the moment shots I am pretty pleased with how these came out.

You need a light source from the side of the tank and turn off the overhead tank lights.

When fish are lit from the side, all their colours seem to pop.
