Shrimp Stocking Densities

Hi,

Just wondering if there is a recommended stocking density formula for shrimp like there is for fish. My shrimp are breeding like rabbits at the moment and just want to make sure that I do not have too many shrimp in a tank.

Your shrimps will breed slower to a stop if there's not enough room. But if you've been thinking it over crowded then it's time to sell or trade away.

I use to have between 500-600 shrimps in a 120lt tank (4-5 per litre), with a 2215, and 20% weekly water change...looked great, but over crowded....now it contains approx 200.... So really depends on your filter, water change frequency etc...
