the delay from search feature really annoying

it's just a small problem and i found these problem with other forum too

but i love old forum where i could search without delay, i could keep searching without problem, i could change the search key word immediately if i got no result

 

this delayed search really annoy me and make me use search feature less and less each time i come to this forum

especially when it's hinder me to search for new topic too

I've dropped it from 30 secs down to 10. I'm not removing it as it's there to stop people from doing a DDOS attack.

Thanks for this NoGi - was killing me too but I knew why it was there.

Just FYI - I was hitting it because my std entry point bookmarked is the "New Content" which is a search ... so going to a post..reading.. and then hitting the browser back button to go back to the list almost always triggered the wait.  Now is fine.

the old Opera browser was excellent because a "back" came 100% from the memory cache but for some silly reason all the new browsers want to reload the dynamic content even if its within a few seconds ... silly IMO!
