Hi guys,

thought id share a pic of my new scape, waiting for it to cycle as its only 2 days old. and will be able to add some new pics of it filled with my blues.

tank was setup with the help of a friend and inspired by one of his previous creations. cycle will only be short as filter was saved from previous scape, hopefully a fortnight and we should be ready to go (needless to say will be rather cautious as i dont want to lose any of my lovelies)

Well done Gino...looks amazing...very talented, and obviously a great eye in scaping ...when you say blues, do you mean blue bolts, blue tigers, blue cherries....just curious, LOL.

Hi blue, I have a few variations of blue cherries that I am working on I wish the lines would breed faster, but allas I am playing with nature and restricted by evolutions slow time scale :)

At least you're not working on the human time scale.

Shrimp generations are quick enough to get good results fairly quickly. I think that is part of the allure.

thats a beast of a scape mate' date=' love it.

the only thing that would make it look better is shrimp :encouragement:[/quote']

well i know of a few chocolates i got the other day that are eyeing it off, was thinking of dropping them in with my blues :D

That would look great, the chocolates carry a strong blue gene anyway, so if you dont mind a few funny looking colors and mixing the genes GO FOR IT ... :)

I was thinking of trying a bit of a mix and throw 5 chocolates and 5 blues in and see what happens, like Dean said the chocolates have a rather strong blue trait to them, and my blues carry the rilli gene so i am interested to see what the outcome might be.

If anyone has already done this and can give me a rough idea of what to expect that would be great. :)

nice work. I thought I saw a similar theme before.

Yeah, I can't deny it but if its any consolation the original artist was rite beside me. But no two tanks are the same and I feel imitation is definitely the sincerest form of flattery. But I can definitely say I had fun :)

Nice! what plants have you got there? The little ones look like riccia but the other??

Actually kept it really simple, hc on the left, Staurogyne tropica on the right and us fissiden at the front.

awesome lookin scape! was it a pain to retain all that soil? looks very well done

Took longer to find a combination that worked, but still maintain the look that we wanted... That was all done on a table outside over a few beers, once that was sorted was all easy peasy :)
