So after about 6 weeks of starting a 60lt tank for these awesome creatures my wife and I decided to add yet another tank to our display tank collection so we can house more of them and go full on in to collecting them. So off we went to our LFS where auto8mycat (Alex) works.

We decided to go for a Fluval studio 900 tank that looks killer in our only room in the house that was missing a tank (dining room). So I will be starting this thread to ask all your opinions on set up.

HERE WE GO FOLKS....

that is a sweet looking tank mate, im sure you and the mrs will spend hrs and hrs around this tank.

you might want to put a sponge over the shorter pipe as im sure the shrimp will escape.

as for the small plug to your mates shop, its fine but just remember there is a sponsors section where they can be plugged all they want if they jump on board :)

what shrimp are you planning on adding?

what substrate?

We are going with elos substrate, fluval 405 filter, macro aqua ph controller, in line co2 diffuser, led lights, in line uv and maybe dosing pump depending on vegetation load (not sure on that one yet).

It will house only shrimp and some ottos to keep algae in check (experiment to see how they go with cooler temps).

The intake will have a sponge filter or maybe a SS mesh it will all depend on how they look.

Mosses and Elos substrate came from Nevile (aquarium therapy).... Woomera rock and drift wood is now being boiled on the stove. I think we might have a wet tank tonight....just in time for wife's birthday tomorrow :)

The moss are tied to some of those foam pads' date=' then attached to DW ;)[/quote']

yep some stitched on pads rolls then put over branches like sleeves, other branches the good old fashion way with string straight on to wood.... Test pilot is in and doing well.
