What colour will this go? :s

Hey guys will this change colour or stay like this? i have red rilis and all the other babys look like this :s confused.com

Phil Rilis will throw striped babies as well as properly marked Rilis. They don't breed 100% true but by selective breeding and heavy culling you will get them breeding a larger percentage of true Rilis. Sometimes the stripes will partially disappear as the baby moults . If your Rilis have the blue gene in them you may get some Blue Velvet babies showing up and again by selectively breeding the blues together you can improve the colour.

I cull my Red Rillis 2-3 times during the 1st 4 months.....found especially with the rilli's that you need to be strict and continue culling as the colony can very quickly get tainted with non rilli patterns, colour etc....

Ooo right i get it now. So my top pick could be a yellow caridina basicly? And you have to specially breed to get the rili form. ?

Do you have pics of the parent ? Difficult to tell by the pics posted, but they look like a std red cherry. Yes, Red Rillis need to be selectively bred, like all cherries for their colour intensity, pattern (rilli)..etc....otherwise the colony will deteriorate in colour and may even go back to be a wild form cherry..

No sorry dont have a pick of the mother. She died after the babys weir born. She was already berried when i got her from my lfs aswell :(

Was she a red cherry or a rilli ? Do lots of reading on this forum, lots of great info, and you'll be on your way to shrimp keeping :-)

Ok after reading this and seeing a few shrimplets i have i need to go back and delete a post of mine :( i thought i had something nice with tiger-like patterns but its just a rili throw off :( and i have kept this male in there so now i have to cull HEAVILY to get rid of these out of my tank but now im thinking what a cool project to go for some blue velvets thank you for this post :)
