Finally a place of their own

Most of our llittle Red Cherrys finally have a their own fish free have and I can see how much they love it all ready. They're no longer hiding and some of them have been racing around doing laps or just surfing the flow lol. Think theres still 7 in the main tank, so we've lost about half of what we put in after the shrimptastrophy. In the last 3 days the fish have developed a taste for the berried girls and it hasn't been pretty.

One of my friends, her brother (a carpenter), and I are now working on setting up a small rack with 2 divided 3ft tanks and they've come up with the great idea of giving it to me in a few months time as a birthday present so my partner can't refuse it lol.

Thank you to everybody for the greatly appreciated advice that helped me to get these guys into there home. Sorry the pics aren't very good, but the attachment for my iPhone is in the mail so I'll hopefully be able to put up better pics soon.

This is there haven just before the final water change that brought all the water parameters into line.

They seem so much happier than their friends in the community tank that don't want to be caught. It's great to always see some out and about doing their shrimpy things. Now to work on getting more tanks so we can get more shrimp.

ThanksTwellsy! I'll post a few picks of it all finished & some of our shrimp, once I figure out how to use the telephoto lens on my phone. I couldn't resist adding some ottos & little Rasbora Maculatas. The Rasboras are smaller than, and will stay smaller than, the shrimp
