Hey everyone!

Ive been living in Australia for the last 1.5 years and originally from Germany. I started to keep and breed shrimps about 6 years ago with focus on the Blue Pearl shrimp.

Beeing without a aquarium for the last 2 years, i just got my hands on a small tank wich is cycling at the moment.

I cant wait to put the first shrimps in! :-)

Welcome to SKF. Shrimp keeping in Germany must be amazing, and so much fun.....tank cycling isn't much fun, love to see pics of your setup. What's shrimp will you be starting with ?

I would say its not as hard, because everything is more easy to get. Be it shrimps, informations or all the other stuff you need to keep them.

Im aiming to keep it simple. The setup so far:

ca. 50l tank

twin sponge filter

75w jaeger heater

desk lamp

Seachem Flourite black

a golden vine driftwood

hydrocotyle tripartita japan

weping moss

frogbite

Also some trumpet snails, with wich i have made good experience in the past. They help the tank cycling and do a good job to dig the substrate.

Im not all too sure yet what sort of shrimp will make it in there. Propably Blue Velvets or Yellow Fires.

Might get to take some pictures next week.
