Doublevsword tail from bluegrassDSC_000016_zpsfj8gwqo7.jpg

Hope you all enjoy, and any tips on what ones to cross would be helpful.

Personally i would like the magenta with a double sword.

Cheers mick

Hello mick....

Endler genetics is really fascinating , I am of the opinion that the irredesence gene that we see in our guppies came from endlers years ago. Since guppies and endlers are closely related species hybridisation occurs easily .

That black bar male with the double sword came from yellow tigers and that japan blue cross.

just goes to show how strong that black bar gene is when it shows up after an out cross where black bar was not used for at least ten generation!!!!!

Now , that magenta gene what it does is completely wipes out tail extensions to make round tails-

have fun with them .

Thought I'd jump in, apparently the person who discovered endlers gave a talk once at the aquarium society of vic, and he claims there's no such thing as pure poecilia wingei, and that all endlers are hybrid now with guppies, as the inhabit the same waters.

Saying that, we (me and the boss lady) try to always refer to ours as endler guppies, as they are different to guppies, mainly being endler guppy males are much smaller than "guppy" males.

We currently keep pink platinum, gold leopard, neon tuxedo and red line endlers.

I believe Maddie is getting in some Japanese blue endlers also in the coming weeks.

Would be great to see people spend some hardcore time with breeding endler guppies

Should go for it Jamie.

Endler guppies are a just add water fish, with awesome colours.

Hoping to get something guppy club style up and running also ;)

Pretty sure we had red line's and gold leopards on the table.

Hopefully we can get some N class endlers sent over from a friend in wa. These are the "most pure" strains of endler possible, and have only ever been imported to Australia once. One person bought every strain and still has them going.

Let me know. I have some bright gems that will captivate you forever.

Oh I forgot.... Totally shrimp safe as I don't feed live foods ;-)

Hate trying to photograph endler guppies. I usually just film for a minute then find the best still from it.

They just don't stop moving!

This is a bad shot of the pair, taken the morning after they arrived home.

She is now very round, ready to drop. And his colours have intensified too.
