I find alot of my shrimp become berried after they molt following a water changer or isolate her in a breeder box with your best males

hahaha 2 males have been following her around for about 2 days now and still nothing and she molted last tuseday maybe ill do a water change tomorrow

Awesome stuff dude, girls can be saddled for ages before getting berried, just ask Ineke about saddled yellow, she's had some saddled for months. Just need to make sure your water is clean & stable & they should get berried in no time(fingers crossed) :encouragement:

I had yellow cherries that i couldnt keep alive and only managed to breed once. Their just one cherry variant i cant successfully manage for some reason lol. I think Yellows are the cursed cherry

My yellows have bred once, and had a litter of 4 shrimp. In half that time my blue cherries have bred twice with much bigger litters. I been told from others that yellows have small litters and a high proportion of male offspring.

They are the same as other shrimp, roughly 28days(depending on temp) I've never had a problem with them breeding, just need clean & stable WP :encouragement:

sweet thanks I thought it was around the 3 week mark but wasn't sure

If you raise the temp it will reduce the gestation period but it will also dramatically reduce their lifespan, definitely not worth it IMO :encouragement:

for me to do that I have to first buy a heater haha ....I haven't found one that fits in a fluval edge properly

Yeah there are some nano heaters available from LFS that aren't sponsors but they are preset temp & not adjustable. :encouragement:

I'm using a "dymax iq thermo 30w" in my 2ft tank and the actual part inside the tank is tiny, digital reading of temperature and can set as low as 20c or as high as I believe 28c

Honestly not sure where you can get one from these days, i picked mine up secondhand locally
