DSC_0074_zpsd1724ece.jpg I found this one in my Red Rili Blue gene tank and at first thought it had red points but as it has grown it is either black or deep blue points. I have it in with my blue velvet cull tank at the moment to infuse some extra colour in them. I can't get a better picture than this as it stays at the back of the tank. i will try and catch it out next time I do another cull and try and get a better picture. This picture is untouched straight from the camera- I had cropped a coule of others to zoom in but the just weren't clear enough

A very interesting find, and its saddle looks green, either that or it has a massive green patch on its black that overrides the blue.

No BB I don't have any carbons she plus one other female who is quite a dark blue but with red points are the only ones I have. I thought I would wait and see what her babies look like and hope to find something I can use. She is in with only blues while the other one is in the community tank. When they are berried I will put them in another tank so I can be sure the babies are theirs. These came from my original group of Rilis from Dean. I have had them for a year and there have been a few dark blue girls but none as dark as her or with the dark points.maybe this is where the carbon Rilis came from? Anyway I will keep an eye on them with great interest. :)

I think the saddle caught the flash from the camera. I didn't notice it being particularly green but I will have a look in the morning. Quite a few of the Blue Velvet in that tank have a greeny yellow tinge. I have put it down to the WP's in that tank although there are still blues in there so they may be a variant as well.
