Thanks Michael, I will probably just rob the community tank and do a bit of selective breeding to improve the shrimp in there.

Thanks Emanuel they certainly give nice clean lines with not having ordinary lights sitting on top of the tanks. :)

thought it about time for an update. Some of the tanks are empty of shrimp because they were moved to the community tank while we were away and had that awful heatwave. LED lights still only on one side but the LEDS came today so the other side will be done this week. The backing for the tanks -so you don't see all the cables still needs to be done. We have the mirrors but they need to be cut to size -our first attempt was woeful so we now have a better glass cutter and when I can drag Alan out from under his car- I think he is hiding - we will have another go.%7Boption%7D[url=http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/ineke24/media/DSC_0160_zps3ea27f0d.jpg.html]DSC_0160_zps3ea27f0d.jpg%7Boption%7D[url=http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/ineke24/media/DSC_0158_zps4521fd8c.jpg.html]DSC_0158_zps4521fd8c.jpg%7Boption%7D[url=http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/ineke24/media/DSC_0157_zpsf4257ec1.jpg.html]DSC_0157_zpsf4257ec1.jpg%7Boption%7D[url=http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/ineke24/media/DSC_0156_zps89fa573f.jpg.html]DSC_0156_zps89fa573f.jpg%7Boption%7D[url=http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/ineke24/media/DSC_0153_zps4d96e7f5.jpg.html]DSC_0153_zps4d96e7f5.jpg%7Boption%7D[url=http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/ineke24/media/DSC_0152_zpsd9ffe1e0.jpg.html]DSC_0152_zpsd9ffe1e0.jpg%7Boption%7DDSC_0155_zps937eeeec.jpg

Not nice Squiggs :worried: it looks awful and I'm so cross with myself for not thinking about it. Just hope Alan can cut the glass this time otherwise I will have to try putting some backing on them. I really want the mirror backs though if we can .

Electrifying. It was even worse Oz we had the power boards above the tank line and your eyes went straight to them instead of the tanks so at least they were shifted. The new LEDS will mean much less power cables but the heater cables and airlines have to stay. I can't put up with it much longer if Alan doesn't get it done soon I will have to do something else.

Woohoo, looks awesome. I have mirror backs in all my racks....great idea, but eventually the moss will cover part/most of it, so defeats the original idea of seeing all parts of the tank.....BUT, I'll still have a mirror back in all future tanks..

Thanks Eshrimp I might have to take you up on that :) Alan will get to it just have to remind him again.

BB anything is better than seeing tubes even if it is covered with moss :)

Had a great day in the shrimp room today - don't tell BOB but I played with my tanks, caught out a heap of culls to add to my Rainbow community tank, caught out a few Mischlings, TB, Berried Tibee and newly berried CRS plus some CBS and golden Mischlings - took them out of the community tank as the weather has cooled down and hopefully no more 40+ days- and put them into their old tanks. Water changes done then the new LEDS glued to their mounting ready to be hung up tomorrow which means all the odd lights I have can finally go - YAY - it's been such a long time for it all to be done but I guess going away in between doesn't help. So that will be the room almost finished just those mirrors to cut down to size plus we are having a lot of trouble sourcing a tap fitting for the auto RO system - we have been to Bunnings, Stratco and several plumbing wholesalers but they can't help. I have a portable system that fits onto a laundry tap -you take the the aerator out and screw the fitting in- we want to have it fixed permanently to the outside tap but due to the size we have been unable to sort it. So that will be yet another thing I will need to see Eshrimp about - he has a similar system but not sure how he has attached his. I haven't visited for a while and now I'm going to inundate him with questions - hope he doesn't try and hide like Alan has been:help:

talking about Bob anyone heard from him recently???.

Thanks to Eshrimp coming to my house yesterday and cutting all the mirrors to fit my tanks I now have mirror backed tanks so no more tubes and cables looking through the glass. The poor shrimp aren't quite sure about what's going on and are madly swimming to and fro looking into the mirrors. Now I have added a further problem how do you take pictures of your tank without showing the camera or the tanks across the room???? The best I could mange was taking a picture from the side. I won't bore you with pictures of every tank but just 1 to prove it is done!!!!<a href=%7Boption%7Dhttp://i1293.photobucket.com/albums/b583/ineke24/2014-03-20172759_zps07a3e751.jpg' alt='2014-03-20172759_zps07a3e751.jpg'>

Looking amazing Ineke! Now you'll be able to see them no matter where they're hiding!

Brilliant job Eshrimp, what a legend to help you out with this!

Nice, both my racks have mirrored backs, and I reckon they're great for shrimp searching and staring.....
