1st Shrimp in tank

Hi all, got my 1st shrimps yesterday, a trio & 12 young ones Chocolate (ye ha). They look so small in a 3ft tank!!!. I noticed 1 had shredded / molted before getting home, see attached photo. Is it normal for them to be white in colour?? I'm on "L" plates. They have not stopped swimming around the tank , I take this as a good sign??

For my learning, please feel free to comment. I got some yellows coming early December. I have a few a few empty tanks waiting to house more cherries, My be cutting back on cichlids now. Having a hard time trying to buy some blues???????.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Yeah it's normal to be zooming around the tank when you first put them in, they are just checking out their surroundings. :encouragement:

I have a feeling you'll have no cichlids by the end of the year, hahaha

I haven't experienced them going white after a moult, I think he might still be stressed, maybe BB can help us out with this one & shed some light on this. :)

2 of them were clear/ white when I picked them up???????????????

They might just be very young still & will probably get better colour as they grow. :encouragement:
