What parameters do you keep your zebs at?

I'm curious as to see what different water parameters people are having success with.

I remember a while back when the zebs seemed to be very reluctant to much of a change but Bob must have been feeding them something special because they seem to be happy in my CRS parameters.

I have had them for 2 weeks now and they seem to be really happy, noticed a lot of nice moults and there are even a few week old babies who seem pretty happy.

Parameters

pH: <6

Nitrate: close to nil.

TDS: 170 ish

GH: 6

KH: 1

Phosphate: 0

Temp: 23.5 C

What parameters are you all using?

LOL nothing special in the food department, 2nd generation captive bred and your young will be 3rd, so keep them going.

What I have gathered from what everyone is saying and what I have not been able to play with is TDS, it is the most important and you are on the upper limit, how ever if they are going good, don't change keep it stable or lower. I will use pool hardener to experiment with when I get the space

It will be interesting to see what everyone else has theirs at??

I think you had them around 50-80 tds so I dripped them in over about 5 hours and apart from the lone doa shrimp I haven't had any more (touch wood)

The tank is quite stable and the plan is to hopefully leave them there for a generation or three so we can have some zebs to put in with crystals etc.

Mine are in a TDS of about 40ppm, haven't tested the PH lately but it was 6.8 when I started the tank, I'll post up the rest of the WP when I get home & check them but they all seem to be doing quite well. :victorious:

Bringing mine back down to below 50ppm. My zebs were always happiest there, out and about in the open like they are in the wild. Temp 22-23*C.
