I've googled it but can't find it. Where did you get it? How big is it? I want !!! I have a few little projects and that would be ideal to keep the males in and drop the female in for a bit of hanky panky!!!!!

That looks awesome…uh oh, i'm looking around for space…damn you Garny for planting that seed ! LOL

The mesh between the tanks maybe OK, as it does;t really matter if the shrimplets migrate over to either side etc…. but the one at the back LH corner doesn't look shrimplet proof. I have a jewel tank, and i neatly cut a piece of flat sponge filter and either wedge or get creative and get it to stick snuggly over it …

No Chi, I'm not 100% sure if the mesh is shrimplet proof. I'm just hoping for the best. :dejection:

Marcus, the top LH corner also has mesh over it but I put it on the back, so it's not visible.

Ineke, I bought this tank from pet barn. It's only very small, 32 liter volume in total.

Im pretty sure it isn't as my friend tried the same thing and found some in the back sump, better get some #30 SS mesh

Oh Chi...you are always so negative. :(But I'm just going with what Marcus said:

Don't get too obsessed with shrimplets going through, the whole idea of the separation is breeding, so if the shrimplets venture to the next compartment, they're not going to do any harm, and once they're bigger or before sexual maturity, that's where the division is critical.....
So yeah, if a shrimplet ends up on the wrong side or in the sump I just put it back when it's bigger :congratulatory:Problem solved! ;)

Not negative Garney just cautious and hate regretting things. Yes doesn't matter if they get into the next compartment, what I'm worried about is the sump area. Isn't there a power head or pump that pumps the water back to the front section? That would mean it be a little shrimplet blender would it not?

I was looking at this very same tank a while back and contemplating setting it up. I must say, you've done a great job! Looks very nice!

The phraae "Shrimplet Blender" makes me cringe

Garney I have 5 tanks that only hold 30-32 litres and the shrimp breed like mad in all of them. I will see if we have a pet barn here. I like the idea of having a small holding tank for really nice males , I feel so sorry for them when they swim round and round my bigger tanks trying to find a female. I think it's funny how their little legs go a million miles an hour looking for them but they must get exhausted.

Shrimplet-Blender???? :cower: That is indeed a horrible thought.

...but even if they did get into the sump they wouldn't get very far because in the first compartment of the sump there are 2 filter cartriges. There is no chance they can get through that and the power head is right on the other end. :encouragement:

They didn't have a trio in stock but apparently they are on special for $134 when in stock.
