We need a new comp .... Any ideas / suggestions ?

On another forum I am on they have monthly competitions for Fish of the Month, Pet of the Month and Tank of the Month. The only reward is a medal that gets awarded underneath the members avatar. The winners are determined by members voting on a poll for each entry. Each entry needs to be accompanied by another picture showing the same shot ( or as similar as possible) with the members forum name and the date.

I guess we could go with

Pet of the Month - Cats, Dogs, Horses, Birds, Rabbits, Ferrets etc

Shrimp of the Month - any shrimp including native must be your own.

Tank of the Month - showing off the aquascapes of a members prized tank. This could even be split into Hi and Low Tech.

Just to make it interesting the other forum then gets all the monthly winners from throughout the year and pits them against each other for a final yearly winner.

Great suggestion Baccus4702.... works in so many levels ! I guess a Mod will need to handle it all ..... mods ? Any volunteers ? :encouragement:

The downside of a recurring comp is it generally means a lot of admin work.
