Good to see you have things back under control blackcat.

Yes it appears to be heading in the right direction. Attended another 10% water chg yesterday tds is now 170ish. What do most big time experienced keepers keep crs/cbs at ? My remineralized ro is 140 ....

Well sad face tonight :-( found a berried yellow dead wahhhhhhhh ..... perams perfect no idea why dohhhh ... guess that will still happen from time to time .... I have made the attempt to tumble them but thus far am failing miserably ... will have the tumble net soon then I can save the shrimplets if it ever happens again :-(

Occasional deaths do happen, and if all WP are great, and no other changes have happened, then just keeps close watch. Berried females are more susceptible, just ensure you do a regular dose of mineral powder.

Sorry am I missing something ? I am adding the minerals to the ro when doing water chgs .... ? Wouldnt adding it otherwise just succeed in raising the tds ?

You are right, adding more SaltyShrimp minerals would raise TDS but BB is talking about a mineral powder additive made by Benibachi, you add a little bit every week or two to just add that little bit of extra goodness to the water. You only need a good sized pinch per 100L. Yeah I know, another thing to add to the tank, lol. :victorious:

What you are adding to the Ro is the saltyshrimp, what BB means is the mineral powder (small pinch each week) like benibachi or shirakura...Female Berried girls are very susceptible as they are extra stressed, this is why some breeders like to separate them. I have lost many a berried girl...as have many others. As for the eggs if the girl was freshly berried when she died there will be a small percentage of the eggs hatching as they tend to fungus up, so if the girls was berried 2wks+ then the eggs have a much higher chance of hatching. With the eggs you don't want them actually tumbling like fish eggs but a constant water flow through the net just so the water they are kept in is not stagnant.
