Can I call this an SS ?

I think in some people's eyes that would be a SSS and others it would be a SS. One of the more skilled shrimp keepers might be more conclusive. Nice looking shrimp :)

thats a nice pattern mate.

trav is right.

some would say SSS (people more interested in money)

others would say SS (people who want to grade correct)

then there are another group of people that would say neither because of the gold gene :)

the grade should not mean anything if you like the shrimp :encouragement:

Sweet, must take a closer look to see of there is any gold colour in the shrimps.

Can gold/white/black gene be eliminate from Crs over time?

Yes, gold is recessive and black is dominant, crystal red can't carry black genes. To see if your shrimp are carrying the recessive gold gene you need to cross the, back to a gold to see if they produce any gold shrimplets.

Also, when you cross a pure red line to a pure black line they're still pure because the black doesn't have any negative effects and it can't stay hidden in red shrimp.
