Awesome stuff, that's very cool! I would recommend you get up an hour earlier each morning so you're not late for work, hahaha. :encouragement:

Congratulations. I would guess the other is female too, based on the spatula shaped second abdominal segment.

I was told that they hang on to their eggs longer - I know yours are BlueBolts but when Mischlings have dark eggs they hold them a few days extra so that may be what's happening with yours. Patience young man patience.:)

Woohoo!! After being away for work, and stressing the chillers may have malfunctioned, I came home today to a much slimmer Female and lots of little shrimplets around the tank.

They are only a day or so old but soooo cute. Will try and get some pics as they develop.

Gunna have a grumpy day today! Went out first thing this morning to find my favourite dark blue girl covered in snails!!

All seemed well and wps have been stable!! Damn!!! No issues with moulting in this tank.

No time this morning for further investigation but all others seem ok!

Lots of water tests and precautionary water change after work tonight!

At least her bubs are growing and healthy! The only positive I can find right now!

It had to be the favourite though!

It's always the way isn't it. Sorry for your loss Jamie , as you say at least you have some babies from. Doesn't make it much easier though :(

Doooooh!! That's such a bummer dude! As Ineke said, at least you've still the babies to carry on her legacy. :encouragement:

Sorry to hear, lots of positives with the shrimplets though... I'd do what you suggested, a check of WP ( TDS, GH...), and a small water change. I'd add some mineral powder too.

So I thought I'd brighten up this thread and post a pic of some of the bubs that my lovely BB lady left behind

Now she left me with a mystery too, as she also dropped this bombshell!

So am having to consider that all the bubs are TBM. I am certain of her genetic history but am uncertain of the father! When she passed, I was waiting to see what her next lot of bubs would have been like!

The bubs are so cute and growing fast. Thought originally one drop, but from size differences definitely two drops. Now just waiting on other females to berry!! Fingers crossed!

Very nice pics dude, I've had some BB babies turn up like that one & they generally colour up later but not as well as the rest of them, just keep an eye on it to see if it does get some nice blue. :encouragement:
