The juvies from velvet start out clear. It will take weeks before they color up and depending on who the father is.

Yes they stay clear for a few weeks the reds can generally be picked out much earlier they have a tinge of colour almost from the start. Congratulations

That's what happens when you mix cherries. If you can isolate the f5 male and f5 female together and breed, I garantee you will get 90% clean blue velvet shrimplets.
