Foreground Plant for PH 7 to 8.5

Researching on foreground plants, that will survive-thrive in alkaline environment. Anyone have any experience or thought 's ?

My main tank (4ft) has had its PH sitting at around 7.5 - 7.8 and in it, HC, HM and Stauro Tropica are all thriving and carpeting. Im sure many othe foreground plants would work as well, just past PH8 might make things a little risky.

Most plants will be fine in that ph, you just need to add more CO2 to get your desired amount. Pretty much all ground covers should be fine at that, the HC may struggle in the higher ranges just because it needs more CO2.

Thanks for that..but looking for a foreground plant that will experience Ph 8.5 ... Time to experiment !

Lilaeoposis (spelling?) would be suitable, it can tolerate brackish conditions as well.

Have you considered moss slates/riccia slates? You can tie them to SS mesh or tiles and line them up in your foreground. They should be able to live through ph 8.5.
